Actually very few do shed, but it’s a normal occurrence for some hides, as they are wild animal hides and each animal’s skin is a bit different.
To help maintain the life of your flogger(s) and help with the shedding. You can vacuum each tail. (just use the nozzle part of your vacuum on each tail). You also can use a lint roller on your flogger to remove a lot of the shedding. You can also store your flogger in a cotton bag, and or just use an old pair of stockings or socks. Put the tails of your flogger in a leg of the stocking or the sock, cut the top off and you then have your own flogger “sleeve”.
